Thankful for Friday

Hey all!

This week has gone by in the blink of an eye!  I’ve been busy wrapping up my sample portfolio to apply for jobs and wrapping my head around the fact that I’ll be moving in just a matter of days!

I’m thankful this week for a call I received about a job in Boston that sounds really interesting!  If you didn’t already know, I have a passion for jewelry-making (check out my Etsy shop!), and this job is at a large jewelry company, drawing up their custom designs in CAD and 3D modeling them in Rhino; both of which I know very well!  It would be at a top secret facility because they mainly work with diamonds and precious metals….how cool would that be!?

Anyways, I’m thankful for the opportunity and hopefully next Friday I will be saying that I’m thankful for getting the job.

Shower Sunday

This past weekend, I made a journey home to go to my friend Becca’s Bridal Shower!

She was sweet enough to make me one of her bridesmaids and I am so honored and excited to be part of her wedding festivities.  Of course, the first on the list was the shower!  We planned a ‘Fashionista’ themed shower, with everything being pink and black.  We had dresses and shoes everywhere and games; all in all it was a great time.

Thankful for Friday

So, I think I’m going to start a new thing where every Friday, I say something I am thankful for that happened that week.  It will be a good way for me to share a little bit more about my life, and I think it will help me see the bright side of things-even when I feel like life isn’t going my way.

This week, I’m thankful for my new apartment.  [obviously] 

Hunting has been just sooo stressful, I am more than relieved to be able to cross that something off my list.  I still have a lot to get in place, but the fact that I won’t be homeless definitely makes me feel better about where my life is going.  :)
